3.3 Install and manage skills
5 min readChoose the role first
Skills are installed to AI roles. Before installing, decide who will usually handle this kind of task.
- Strategy, research, and growth tasks: install to CMO, research, or growth roles.
- Copy, social, and email tasks: install to content or operations roles.
- Visual, asset, and brand guideline tasks: install to design roles.
- Data, ads, and weekly report tasks: install to analyst or operations roles.
Do not install a skill to every role at once. Start with the best match, test it, then expand if needed.

Installation steps
- Open Skills.
- Search the Skill store for the target task.
- Open the skill detail page.
- Check the input requirements and output format.
- Click Install.
- Select the target role.
- Confirm.
- Return to Role skills and confirm the skill appears.

Test it right away
After installation, test the skill with a real but low-risk task.
Example:
Please use the newly installed "PDP optimization" skill to review this product page's first-screen information, benefits, and conversion risks.
List the review steps first, then give revision suggestions.
Check whether:
- The AI knows to use the skill.
- The output matches the skill description.
- The result can be edited, shared, or used as the next step.
If the result is not good enough, add more input before disabling or uninstalling the skill.

When to disable a skill
Disable a skill when you may use it again later, but do not want it active now.
Common cases:
- The team is pausing this workflow.
- You want to compare another similar skill.
- The data source the skill depends on is temporarily unavailable.
- The output needs review before continued use.
After disabling, the skill stays under the role but will not actively participate in tasks.
When to uninstall a skill
Uninstall a skill when you are sure it is no longer needed.
Before uninstalling, check:
- Whether any automation uses it.
- Whether any team member still depends on it.
- Whether another skill already replaces it.
- Whether you need to keep outputs or documents it produced.
Default skills usually cannot be uninstalled because they are built into the role.
If installation fails or the skill is missing
Try this order:
- Refresh Skills.
- Confirm you installed it to the current role.
- Check team permissions or network state.
- If the skill needs a connector, authorize it first.
- Open the target role's skill list and confirm again.
